Mark Sutcliffe - Head Professional

Mark joined The Shropshire in October 2006 and has been the Club's Head Professional since February 2007. Mark is a former PGA Trainee of the Year, whilst working at the prestigious Surrey Club, The Wisley, having qualified under Master Professional Denis Pugh, Sky Sports consultant and coach to many European Tour players. Mark brings over ten years of experience to The Shropshire having enjoyed previous spells at Woodmont Golf Club in Atlanta, USA and Carden Park in Cheshire.

Tom Gibbs - Teaching Professional

Tom is a fully quaified professional and joined The Shropshire in December 2007, having worked at Izaak Walton and Uttoxeter Golf Club. Tom is also a qualified Mind Factor coach, having worked extensively with European Tour mind coach Dr Karl Morris. Tom has a wealth of experience and can develop players by combining both the technical and psychological aspects together to achieve the best results.

Alan Gibson - Teaching Professional

New teaching professional Alan Gibson is a fully qualified PGA Professional and has spent the last 5 years as Head Professional at Mollington Golf Club in Chester. Alan has a lot of playing, teaching and club professional experience. Alan was the Head Professional at Woolton Golf Club in Liverpool from 1994 to 2000 before spending 2 years teaching golf in Amsterdam, Holland. As an amateur Alan played off a scratch handicap at Wallasey Golf Club, the Wirral where he is still a member and played for the Cheshire county team. Alan's playing experience includes 9 attempts at the European Tour qualifying school!!, 1 European tour event, playing all 4 rounds, Challenge tour and Regional Professional tournaments. In 2002 Alan was 3rd in the Dutch qualifying school which allowed him to play in the Dutch tour in 2003 were he finished 43rd in the order of merit. Alan is available for individual lessons,group lessons and playing lessons.
