The Shropshire throws its doors open for local businesses

The Shropshire Golf Centre, set in the rolling Telford countryside, is opening its doors on Monday, February 20, 2012 to show off its outstanding, recently refurbished conference facilities to local businesses.

The Shropshire boasts five separate rooms within the beautiful 19th century Farmhouse area of the clubhouse, capable of hosting small intimate meetings to conferences for up to 50 delegates.

Local businesses are invited to attend on February 20, for a tour of the public pay-and-play centre – part of Burhill Golf & Leisure, the UK’s leading golf course owner and operator – and the facilities it offers, including a complimentary breakfast or lunch from a special delegate menu prepared by Head Chef Chris Haynes.

Stuart Perry, The Shropshire Golf Centre General Manager, said: “At The Shropshire we provide flexible solutions for all businesses looking to use our facility for meetings and conferences.

“As well as light and comfortable meeting rooms we also have the grounds to facilitate a variety of activities to aid in team building exercises or to relax after a day of meeting.

“We have a choice of four golf courses, including a short Par-3 Academy Course, which is ideal for beginners and non regular golfers, and a driving range where our team of expert PGA Professional coaches can offer golf tuition as part of a day delegate package.”

Packages start from as little as £25 for the Standard Day Delegate Rate, which includes tea and coffee, room hire, buffet lunch, flipchart, pad, LCD projector and screen and unlimited use of WiFi.

For larger conferences and team building days The Shropshire offers a superb Exclusive Use Package at £650 for a minimum of 30 delegates.

This package includes all of the above as well as exclusive use of The Shropshire’s farmhouse and lawned area – suitable for team building and activities – separate car park and entrance and dedicated coordinator.
