GASP

Winter is the perfect time to develop your golf game! Most problems in golf begin with poor foundations (grip, alignment, stance and posture). A good idea is to build a routine into your practice using the word GASP as a checklist for the four foundations.

GASP stands for Grip, Alignment, Stance and Posture.

Grip - Make sure both palms are facing each other with the back of your left hand facing the target (right hand for the left handed golfer).

Alignment - Always practice with a club on the floor pointing parallel left of your target (right for the left handed golfer).

Stance - You should have your feet just wider than shoulder width.

Posture - The back should be nice and straight with the knees slightly flexed.

Finally when at the range don't just beat ball after ball without thinking take your time to make sure your GASP is correct.
